In the article “Duped Dads Fight Back”, in Time, Jan 19, 2007, the author, Julie Rawe, states that some duped farther want to change the law because they don’t want to pay the money to the children who are not their biologically children. Dylan Davis, who is a software engineer, did a DNA test after his divorce. He found his twins are not his biologically children, but he has to pay $663 a month to those twins for child support. “The anger grows and grows, and it just keeps chipping away at your love for those children,” he said to the author. Davis reported that a man found his son is not his real son, but he has to pay the child support to the boy’s biologically father because the boy’s mother moved to the other state. Davis also stats that Florida, Georgia, and Ohio decided the nonbiological fathers don’t need pay the child support if they found they were deceived into parenthood. Colorado, Illinois, and West Virginia are following these states to change their low to protect those nonbiological fathers. However, Theresa Glennon, who is the Temple University law professor, told Davis she thinks these cases of duped dads and the scheming mothers will break the relationship of nonbiological father and children, make children have a disappointment family life.

Critique:
This article told us a very special case: nonbiological fathers and biological fathers. The nonbiological fathers should not pay the money to the children who are not their real children. However, children are victims either. The children lost their nonbiological fathers’ love and have a confusedly parenthood. They even don’t know who their father is. They don’t care who pay money to them because they don’t need money. They need love. The need father’s love and mother’s love. They need a whole family, a real father and a real mother. The mistake of parents shouldn’t be received by children.
